We're three weeks old today (happy birthday to us!) and our stats are looking pretty fine, even if I do say so myself 😀

731 Threads, 6,846 posts and 144 members.

We also have a few talented graphics people on our staff - you'll have noticed one of them posting some of her stuff here - Shelley (she of the awesome smilies!). On top of the awesome graphics, we do take requests and we also offer site reviews and a place to showcase your sites as well!

Nearly 2 months old now and it's going really really well! We've now gone beyond 11 thousand posts and over 1 thousand threads. Activity is rising daily and some very interesting posts going on. Our resources area is blooming and expanding with some excellent graphic submissions and addons/tutorials and excellent articles with detailed information running sites.

We also have an awesome video interview with Floris (previously of vb.com support and runs the wetalk network) who shares some fascinating insights into his views on vBulletin and his network of sites.

It's our 3 month anniversary today and Admin Extra has passed 17,000 posts! To celebrate that we're going to be announcing a competition in the next couple of days with some amazing prizes - including an IPB licence, IPB Sitemap licences, a vB4 full suite licence, hosting packages, and skins from Transverse Styles! But you have to be a registered member to take part!

We at Admin Extra are extremely proud to announce the running of our first ever competition. After some long discussions lasting into the early hours of the morning at times, we finally decided that, while it would be great to run something unusual as the competition itself, we've been overwhelmed by the prizes donated (more on that in a minute) and settled on keeping the competition simple.

To that end, we're going to run a Posting Competition this time around, but it's not about the amount of posts that are made but about the type & quality.

To make this work, Ryan has modified his points system to suit and we have set up a point scoring system for posts/threads made in different areas. So, at the end of the day, someone who makes less posts but in higher scoring areas could easily win the competition.

Points system for the competition works as follows:

No points will be given for Threads/Replies made in the following forums

-- Admin Extra, Extra

- Feedback & Suggestions/Support Desk

- Entire AdX Community Area (excluding Reviews)

Points are awarded for --

(15 points) New Threads made in any of the Resource Forums

* Graphic Packs,
* Articles,
* Tutorials,
* Addons

(we will be checking to ensure threads contain a resource of some sort and points will be deducted for anyone who just makes threads without substantial resource content per AdX criteria)

(15 points) Replies made in the Graphics Request forum that fulfills a request,

(these points will be manually added so be sure to notify me if you fulfill a request via pm with a link to the relevant post)

(10 points) Replies for New Site Review Requests

(15 points) Replies made in the Reviews forum that include an in-depth review

(these will be manually added, so be sure to notify me if you post a review via pm with a link to the relevant post)

(5 points) Remainder of site: New Thread

(2 points) Remainder of site: Reply

Prizes For the Competition

First Prize is Either

1. An IPB3 Licence (donated by Matt & Charles of Invision Power Services) & SiteMap License (donated by Bramburn of Icelabz);

or

2. A vBulletin 4 Suite licence (donated by vBulletin Solutions) & v3Arcade Branding Free Licence (donated by KW802 of v3Arcade)

and

A 2 year hosting package with 5gb disk/50gb bw with unlimited MySQL, Subdoms, Domains, Email, FTP - comes with cPanel, Fantastico, RVSkins & RV Site Builder (donated by HWS Hosting)

Second Prize takes the remaining license.

Hi there,

I just thought I'd drop by to update what's happening at Admin Extra.

We converted to the xenForo software last Thursday and activity has gone up a lot! We have a shiny new custom style, lots of resources and articles and our Web Host Reviews custom mod has gone live today.

We're also having a Halloween week - sharing ghost stories and scary avatars.

So if you enjoy discussing admin-related topics with likeminded people in a relaxed laidback atmosphere as well as having a bit of fun, come by and visit. Check out our gorgeous Halloween touches as well (our logo and our cobweb draped avatars!).
