Hey guys.

Recently, after I created this thread, some users said they didn't like the name, so I am now worried that if I put my time and dedication to making this, it will not work out just because of the domain.

So, I want you to give your honest feedback and suggestions on if you like the domain or not "AdminJuice.com" and if the name will ruin the way people will see the forum.

I also want to know what forum software I should use. It must be a free forum software such as PhpBB or MyBB. I want to use MyBB because the custom themes are very cheap as PhpBB themes cost $70 .

Please help me guys, I'm really stuck. 🙁

To be honest I don't like the name, it doesn't sound right for a forum to be honest, I mean what relevance does the 'Juice' have? It's original but doesn't it if I'm honest. Also the phpBB theme part, I think you need to search for more designers than just Christian Bullock, not every designer costs that much and phpBB is highly customisable I think. Also you need to see what software your potential members would rather go for as well.

I'm not saying it will be a problem as such, I'm saying that I'm not sure what the name 'Juice' has to do with the forum. An example is 'Admin Crunch' as that had the slogan of 'Beat the Admin Crunch' which popped around the time of the worldwide 'Credit Crunch' etc... it just had some connection with something, I just think the Admin Juice name is a bit random. Make it by all means though but I'm a little unsure about it.

Go with it but it will need to provide something different and special, the reason why most forums fail are because they provide the same old thing as every other thing. The reason people are not liking it very much is that the word 'Juice' is rather random for a forum name, it doesn't have much symbolism for what it's about.

Well the Juice can symbolize socialization. So it can be a Admin Socialization forum.

You shouldn't base your decision on the comments of 2 members as that's a poor sample space. If you asked 10 different members on 10 different forums then you'd get a better picture.

Personally, I like it. It reminds me of Link Juice (SEO) so it has some relation (though minimal).

ProBoards.com is a good host. There is an amzingly huge database of skins, some of which are professionally made at www.forum.smangii.com
