The Theme
I am really liking the idea of the orange them, which is a color rarely seen. The background is a nice touch adding some texture behind the gray which in turns blends everything nicely together. The colors do a nice job working together and are easy on the eyes. Overall, I am happy with how AdminAds look! Nice job!
Weaknesses:
Overall Theme
I know, kind of contradicting myself here because that's the first thing I touched on in the strengths. However, after looking at the overall theme, I question if adequate time was given on the theme. Starting near the top, the logo looks decent with a little arrow icon to the left of the text font. However, the icon doesn't really fit in well with the rest of the logo, especially the red "Ads" part, it just sticks out, in a bad way. Maybe use the same orange you are using in your ".tcat" element? Doing this would blend the logo in with the theme adding to the overall look and feel of the theme.
Looking forward to the right of the logo, we see some social links, cool! It would be more cool if they all actually did something, however, they don't. I understand maybe you don't use all of the social media sites out there for AdminsAds, but remove the links to the ones you don't use. If you use G+ and Facebook, keep those links and their icon there. However, why have Twitter, LinkedIn and the other two if you don't have them linked to anything? It also shows up near the footer area, with the same problem.
The sidebar is really, really empty. The only item in the sidebar doesn't match what links are underneath of it, in the least bit, which shows a lack of continuity. If you want a news block in which you want to display a section of forum news you feel your members should read, then post it under the "Latest News" header, not links to new content. Try adding other things in the sidebar, you have a lot of wasted real estate that you could be using a lot of different things. Try experimenting with things and see how your community react to them. Something I did personally was asking my community what they would want to see added.
Forum Descriptions
This is the area of a forum where this has to be spot on, and it's lacking a lot here on AdminAds. You have really short descriptions that cause ambiguity when users go to post content and question if they are posting in the right spot. Each description should be anywhere from 2-3 sentences each. Doing this will allow you to clearly express what each forum is meant for. Something else I caught on were slight grammar and spelling issues, this is something you really don't want. When you are looking over your descriptions, please double check your spelling. Only titles and proper nouns will need capitalization, all others can do without.
Final Remarks:
Overall, I wasn't too impressed with AdminAds. With the icons with links that doesn't lead to anywhere, haphazardly positioned forums, an empty sidebar and forum descriptions that lack proper explanation of the forum it's describing. Add some things to AdminAds and don't be, "just another admin forum." I have faith that it can be done and that you can do it. Go AdminAds!
