Hey guys just letting you know that I have successfully imported the database of another Webmaster Forum into AdminBB. I have been working these 2 days non stop, during the first 7 tries we ran into countless problems so I continuously had to restore the forum and start over. Took alot of work as the Database was pretty big, and it took awhile for everything to import and what not.

Then I had to deal with the permissions and moving the the huge amount of threads to the correct sections manually which was another reason for it being a long process. I believe I have done everything properly. Then I had some cleaning up to do, and pruned a good amount of threads/posts which were from the imported Database.

I would also like to welcome the new members who are now apart of the AdminBB member-base because of the import. Dont worry, we wont bite 🙂 We are a very friendly community, and you guys are welcome to be apart of it if you wish.

The person I have bought the forum database from has scammed me and provided me with a stolen DB, and I have talked it over with other people, and its best to revert back and take action. so I will be restoring back to the previous adminbb database and will be trying to find a solution to this.

Rather not as it will just be free promotion for that site in my advertisement thread.

More details:
I have restored AdminBB back to our previous database. Why? Well the database that I had merged into AdminBB was a stolen one and I was scammed by the person who sold it to me. I will be reporting the user, and finding a solution to this. I dont think I will be getting my money back though 🙁

I have talked to Ryan and others and this is the best thing to do right now. This is very overwhelming as I spent a good 2 days with merging and importing, and getting things set up and keeping AdminBB closed for the 2 whole days where we lost a good amount of activity when if I had known I wouldnt have not gone into this.

This just goes to show you that you gotta be careful with things like this on the internet, as their are very nasty people like this. So as I mentioned I will be reporting him and will be trying to find a solution.
