So I am thinking of converting AdminCentral to a paid software and I would like your opinions on which one and way.

I have a spare XenForo license that I can use and I also know someone trading a vBulletin publishing suite for that so they are both options and I am sure i could trade of an IPB license or get one some how so nothing is an issue.

I really like XenFore but I am unsure.

Please give me opinions based on which you think is best for an admin/webmaster based community not just because you like one most and hate another.

Go with either Xenforo or IPboard.
If you ask me, Xenforo would be my suggestion.

I know that, Fergal but one reason is why not utilize a spare XenForo license when I love the software as well as being able to trade it for IPB or vB if I wanted.

I can get a vB publishing sweet for my XenForo licnese which I thought could be great for being able to organize articles, interviews, tutorials, etc a lot better for my users as well as many other things.

Although that value is great I am unsure if I want to trade yet as I have heard bad things of vB lately but it was just a thought.

I think you should go with IPB <3

I will come back and post if you do 🙂

If you have a Xenforo license in your pocket I'd definitely recommend going that route over MyBB, because it's superior software.

Opinion, not fact.

I do think if you're going for a admin/webmaster based community though, Xenforo would be a good choice.
IPB has too much junk that you won't need. As does VB. I find them both to be not very user friendly.

If I were you, I'd either stick with MyBB & just sell your license on, or choose Xenforo.

If you sell your Xenforo license, you can use the money on more important things, such as advertising.

This. However, if you don't want to sell it and stick to using mybb which I don't think you do then I would go for Xenforo because it is user-friendly and I personally like the software myself as well as MyBB.

AdminCentral is now on IP.Board. Forgot to update this. I don't know the extra junk you mean, I think it's perfect and with IP.Downloads and Content I will be able to have all reviews, tutorials and articles set up really well as well as free downloadable themes and such.

By extra junk, I meant it's not really seen as just a forum software anymore, it's seen more as a social networking software with a forum.
In my opinion they've gotten too carried away with all of the extra unnecessary stuff that they have.
Probably just my personal preference, but I really prefer lighter boards which are easy to manage.

Good luck with your forum anyway mate.
