Admin's Right

Personally, I try not to be so serious on my forum. I am rather laid back, and will only pull out the "admin card" when absolutely necessary, such as when dealing with a troll, spammer, when someone is demanding something from me, or otherwise trying to disrupt the community.

Otherwise, I consider myself to be a regular member just like everyone else, but, with more responsibility.

I think that a good admin is one who doesn't take themselves, and their rules so seriously, that they end putting a [virtual] choke hold on the community.

I think that it is important to be laid back as it is important to conduct yourself in a professional manner. I think that the real trick is finding a balance between the two.

I try to be calm and solve problems with the culprit on my forums.
