Adobe Flash Player Problem! I Need Help!

Hello as you should know if you have looked at my posts or profile I'm a computer repair technician. I do some networking and stuff like that. Well I'm not very good with some programs and Adobe is one of them.

This is my problem I get onto advertisehotspot.info the forum in the banner here. Well I go to the arcade and it tells me I need to update my Flash Player. Well I download the update and my browser pops up saying Adobe is now running on your computer. I posted a thread on the forum the adminstrator "Joel" who is a nice guy tells me download from offical website. So I do that(all the content is the same). It still tells me the same thing. I have Adobe Flash Player 10 already installed to my laptop and the arcade requires Adobe 8 or higher.

Oh last details I downloaded Google Chrome with Adobe and Chrome is on my desktop and I've used it.

What do I to get the Flash Player to recognize the arcade?

Came up for me on a game on that site and then it fixed itself after a few seconds. Have you waited after that error came up for a few moments?

No I haven't tryed it I will right now. I just figured it wasn't going to change. I'll try real quick thank you for the tip!

FB I waited about 5 minutes and it said the same thing as beforore. I'm going to join a forum with another arcade and see if it's my computer or that arcade.

I'm only a web developer so if that doesn't work then I can't help you anywhere further. But it should work because if you upgrade to a specific version, then it should upgrade.

Have you restarted your computer after the upgrade?

Well I'm thinking it could be my compute. I've restarted it because I had installed security updates and restarted almost directly after installing. I've tried this several times it must be my computer if you had the same problem and it works for you!

You can try uninstalling Adobe Flash with the uninstaller you found at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html then restarting your computer.

Lastly, reinstalling Flash from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Could it be Adobe "Shockwave" player you need to upgrade http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/

instead of flash.

Shockwave and flash get confused a lot since their almost exactly the same when you view them, but uses a different plug-in to play them back.

Thanks froggy I think that will actually work. I did figure out that the problem was only on my laptop! Because I'm currently on my desktop and it plays the games 100%. I will try what you said because it does sound like my problem! Thank you
