Ads on Forums?

Does anyone make a good amount of money by putting adsense or other similar ads on their forums? I had adsense for a while on one of my forums and I found that the CPC was good but the CTR was very low.

I dont yet, though I have been keeping my eyes open for a nice way of doing so. Ive heard bad, bad things about google adsense. I know for a fact that this site uses http://www.bidvertiser.com (Just look below lol) and im sure if they use it then BA must pay well or something. If the bigger sites trust something, chances are its worth trusting.

True, but the even bigger sites like digitalpoint.com are earning $10,000+ per month from adsense. I have had bad experiences with BA in the past so I am avoiding them.

In the end it really comes down to what you think is the best, and what you know works well for you. As bad as it is, it can only take one bad experience to ruin any chance of people using certain programs, that may have just made a mistake or something. Then again, I havnt used any of them yet, so I really have no room to talk.

That's a good point, I suppose different things just work for different forums.

I use a mixture of adsense, adbrite and private ad sells and earn around ~$1,000 a month

A lot of people say http://www.bidvertiser.com is good. Also make sure you don't put too many ads on your forum.
