Does anyone know what this "error" message is? Currently displayed on the AdSense website and reading the FAQ has just confused me a bit. It says to check the Sites section to see which of my sites have been impacted but I can't see any indication for any of my sites. I've been making a few pennies for the past few days but a lot less than usual so I'm slightly worried.

I'm not sure what the ads.txt file exactly is and what I should put in it.

Any help or an ELI5 would be great 😀

Same here I used to have that error lol, BUt I did added the ads.txt and the error got removed. Google always doing something new right?

You got to have an as.tet in your root folder with the following code so that google can read it. the code is displayed on the help page

Google has made this compulsory recently to use that file on every domain now. This way they are discounting the clicks which came from domains not authorized. The above reply shows the process so I won't repeat the same.

If there's an issue with ads.txt on your site, you'll see an alert in your AdSenseaccount. To prevent severe impact to your revenue, follow the steps below to fix the issue. Note: It may take a few days for your changes to be reflected in AdSense. If your site doesn't make many ad requests it may take up to a month.
