Advertising and Promoting

Hey guys,

I have been running my site for over 2 years now and we are doing ok. However, after receiving my latest review, the obvious was confirmed. I need more members!

I would like to ask some advice from you guys, what can I do to promote my site and gain more members? This is what I currently have:

Facebook Page
Twitter Page
I have begun looking for Promoter Mods

Any and all advice is welcome.

Since you have a Facebook page you can try facebook ads. That way you can get members quickly and usually high quality.

I do have RL friends that have joined, I also tried the FB ads and so far it's looking good. I'm wondering if there is anything else I could do that will boost it.

I've had many successful attempts with Facebook ads, however, with ad networks you will always get what you pay for. So if you pay very little, you will get little results... Pay a lot more, and you get a lot more results. 🙂

Thankies for the advice :3 We got an extra 25 likes during the 3 days we advertised. I still need to gain more members, but this is good progress ^_^

With your social media activities, what are you doing in terms of them? I mean did you just make the pages and kind of sit back and watch or are you active with social media optimization?

You could hold a referral contest, and whichever member refers the most new members wins something.

Try tumblr, twitter, and site-to-site promotion as well. Directory sites, listings, toplists... everything counts as advertising. Also, keep being active on directory forums like this and have your site button in your signature.
