Advertising on Craigslist, Kijiji, etc. other free classisfied sites

Do you ever advertise your forum/website on free classified sites such as Craigslist, Kijiji, etc?
I have been doing this for awhile for my music site and since I have just opened up my forum I will be doing the same for that. I say it's another great way to advertise as it's free and posting your forum/website is allowed for. I have people sent me messages on Kijiji after I posted my ad about my music saying they bought my album and like my music. I'm hoping this will work for my forum too!

I can't see it hurting. Honestly I never found a huge success with Craigslist, but there is really no negative to it.
