Adware

Alright, normally I don't do anything that would harm my computer. Always checking files I download with at least 2 scanners and everything. I haven't had a virus on my computer in at least 3 years. Now, I let my girlfriend on my computer to work on things she had to do, and I come back to Adware on my computer.

Now, it's nothing bad. It's just that sometimes when I go to click on something, a new tabs opens up to a page that is pretty much an ad. Also, when I try to Google something, where Googles' ads are normally located, now they are fake ad links from whatever is on my machine.

What puzzles me is that the fact I can't find the thing. I used AVG, AVAST, Macafee, hijackthis, and Malwarebytes, and I still can't find it. It is somewhere in my computer, and I can't find it.

Maybe it is a add-on like a toolbar which is installed on your web browsers.

You can look in your plug-in, extensions, and toolbar settings for your web browser to see if there is a new plug-in or toolbar

Sometimes adware has an uninstaller on Add Remove Program section in Windows control panel.

Did you scan In safe mode?. Its amazing how some maware cant be detected in a normal session.

Also try a boot-scan cd. 🙂

Also I would reccommend Comodo Internet security 2013 premium, which Is free. It has alot of good features. 🙂
