I think they sometimes work, but I'd rather use other methods to get traffic - but it's very hard and often beyond reach. It's certainly a block, even though, it's easy to build forum material using forum promotion sites and paid posting services (assuming you work for your credits).

I have affiliate over time with others, But doesn't make much point. every so often I have to check if other website got my banner up and if not I remove there banner from my site.
Had removed 2 in the pass and another 2 for website's are closed. does it give my traffic.. umm nope

I know the feeling. What is really needed is land-based jobs. Only some cash will bring traffic in. However, in your case, I think gaming traffic is actually cheaper than other types.
I keep things cheap as I can. Will be harder and longer but it's free. I have no choice since there is no funding left. not likr I have $100 to spend.. which I don't

No offense, but I think a lot of people are shortchanging themselves - and don't think there is enough work online - unless you can get in with a blog writing company maybe.
Not my thing, I can writ, well more like typing but my down side is my darn spelling and grammar. I can not type/writ that long

Note, not criticizing your writing (writing police), but lack of training can be a block to someone's future. Not about your writing. That's not what I'm referring to.

Never ever had a problem with affiliating, it has worked great for me, i have many affiliates and we are all active on each others boards, never had probs with banners going missing. I have done this for years, i suppose it works for some..

I think a big problem is a lot of talent on here isn't meeting up with the right people, and even in that case, the other helpers have no capital.
