Thank you for using the Forum Promotion Review Service,
Review Team

I'm sorry. I completely forgot about this review. I WILL get this done when I get home this afternoon.

I thought reviews were set to be completed within 24 hours of when accepted...

They're not always completed in 24 hours. Snobothehobo did tell you that, but something must have come up. Keep in mind, this is a voluntary service our Review Team provides. A review may come late, cause we have lives, as well. To be honest, it's not even a day late; some reviews have been much later. Please just have a little patience on this. And, I'm sure it will be completed, soon.

I do apologise for the delay, I know you were expecting this to be done by today.

I understand fully that everyone on this forum has lives on their own. But maybe you should be a little bit more clear in your acceptance message thing. And if it happens often, maybe you should get rid of the "You will have your review completed in twelve to twenty-four hours." Sorry if I come across as harsh - just my opinion.

We use that template, and the reviewer who takes up the request, edits the time frame into the post, from when they believe they will have the review completed. Reviews are not always late. But, unfortunately, it does happen. Believe me, I know what it feels like, when you're waiting on a review of your forum, you wish it was instantaneous. But i promise you, Snobothehobo will deliver a great review, and offer excellent suggestions for your forum, that will be worth the wait.

In my own words, I would rather have a great review, that was a tad late, than a poorly done review that was rushed.

Your concerns on this are important to us. I've spoken with the Review Team, to make sure false timings are not given, again.

Again, I apologize for the inconvenience.

Your Forum Review

First Impressions - (Out of 20)
At the top, your logo looks fairly good at a glance. Your header is really large, though. I might recommend making that smaller if possible (it takes up one whole screen on the 1280 x 800 resolution). Other than that, your site looks a little bit nondescript. It doesn't look bad, but it looks plain, and that's probably not the best when you're trying to stand out from competition. You may wish to add more color to your template, as it currently looks pretty default. Your stats look okay at a glance, and you don't have any empty forums. However, there are currently not any active members. While it's not exactly a peak time, it would still be nice to see at least one active member online. I also notice that you've only had five users signed on in the past twenty-four hours. This makes your forum look a little slow to prospective members. Overall, my first impression was neutral.

Site Layout - (Out of 20)
Your index is a little on the longer side. To condense this, one suggestion I can make is to combine your "Sports" and "Music" forums into one "Entertainment" forum. Also, since your "Injury News" and "Tribunal News" forums don't seem to get a lot of activity, you may wish to combine a few forums and make an "AFL News" forum. Also, you may wish to make your "Drafts/Trades" forum a sub-forum under "Team Issues," since that board doesn't seem to get a lot of activity at this point. Making these changes will not only condense your index more, but will also make your board look more active by increasing the amount of posts in each of the forums you have.

Forum Statistics - (Out of 20)
According to my calculations, your forum currently has less than twenty posts per day. There is definitely room for improvement here. You may wish to do some post exchanges to make your forum look more active to begin with. After your forum has a few more posts and looks more active, you should begin promoting using regular services on promotion forums, such as banner ads. You do have fifty-five members, so perhaps you could try sending out a mass e-mail to all your users telling them that you're still around. It might prompt a few of them to take another look at the forum.
(Scored 5/20)

Staff Moderation - (Out of 20)
It appears that you currently have four staff members. You do not need any more at this time. However, I noticed that one of your staff members has only nineteen posts. Having staff members who do not post often can sometimes make a forum look uncared for to prospective members. You may want to encourage that staff member to make more posts. Other than that, though, you do not appear to have any major staffing issues.
(Scored 16/20)

Spelling and Grammar - (Out of 20)
You do appear to have some grammatical errors on your forum's index. They're nothing major, but I figure they may as well be pointed out in this review.

"AFL Media"
Description should be:
"The footy show, before the game, on the couch, etc.. you get the picture!" <-- I don't think you needed as many words capitalized.

"Forum Games"
Description should be:
"Play some forum games with other members." <-- Missing period.

These errors aren't that major, but are enough to drive someone who loves grammar (coughcough) insane.

Total Score - (Out of 100)

Final Remarks: Your forum does appear to have some potential; you just need to work on the promotion part.

What was most liked about the website/forums: Your logo looks really great.

What was disliked most about the website/forums: Your activity needs some work.

How could I get you (The Reviewer) to join my website? If I were interested in AFL, I might join your forum if you had a bit more activity.

Thanks for the review, i'll take some feedback on board. Also, I apologize if I seemed a bit rude and impatient.

It's not a problem. Your satisfaction is our top priority. I really do appreciate your kind remarks for the completed review.

And, Snobo is right, about post exchanges, they're the MOST effective way to bring members to your forum, no matter what your content is about. We have great admin advertisers, just as yourself, who all work together, on each others forum. You should give our Member Post Exchanges a glance.

And, please, feedback is always appreciated, just follow the link provided below, and leave any remarks you'd like. Thank you

Honestly, HCF, I don't believe post exchanges are valuable except in the beginning when you need some activity to stimulate growth and make your forum look better to prospective members. Once your forum has a decent level of activity, they are really pretty worthless as far as getting new members goes.

I never said anything about new members that "stay" active 😉

I have a good solid active member base, but still do post exchanges, just to bring in alittle variety to the forum discussions. ~cool~
