First Impressions & Appearance - (Out of 20)
As I click open your site, the first thing I notice is your amazing banner. The flags of Africa in the upper-background are great, and I think you did an excellent job with the banner.
I always suggest this, you should make your welcome message to guests have certain areas bolded, so bolding things like ' the ability to post topics ' would be good.
As I move onto your forum, I see that you have a nice board setup- you may want to condense them a bit since your site is, right now, pretty small.
As a guest, I would be pretty inclined to join, soley due to the banner and the great portal.

Site Layout - (Out of 20)
Your portal looks great, as a registered user, and as a guest. No flaws here, other than you should move your " What's Going on at AFH " widget to your board index, not your portal.
Your first category, " AFH Members Section " is great, but you should move Introductions below the forum related discussion areas.
I'm not sure what you mean by " Special Interests " in the Category description, I think you should change it to " Africa Discussion " or something like that.
You've got a little bit too many boards there. You should condense them, example- You don't need all of those subforums in your ' Places and Travel ' area, especially when they have not drawn any posts.
The rest of your category is great. However, change the " Videos and Links " section, and put it in the Entertainment area, you don't need an ENTIRE board for just linking videos.
Your community chit chat area is fine.

Statistics and Activity - (Out of 20)
Your board has been created in January, and only has 418 total posts, and 53 members. This isn't so good. Step up the promotion, and step up the post exchanges.

Staff Moderation - (Out of 20)
You have yourself as an admin, and three moderators. That's WAY too many for such a small board. You really only need one more moderator besides yourself on such a small board.
You, as the admin have made many posts ,and are quite active. That's a good job.
Your staff, isn't so active. You need to have them step it up. One has only 1.3 posts per day, and that's pretty low, especially when your trying to get your board going.
Another only has SEVEN posts, that's not good at all. I would remove this staff member from the team, as they are inactive and not helping at all.
Another, has only 10 posts- again, unacceptable to you as the admin.
If I were you, I would warn those two staff members to either step it up, or they're gone. To have a good board, you need to have good staff that strives to ensure the board does well and has content.

Honestly, I don't quite get your niche. It seems like a general talk forum to me. You should consider revamping your forum make-up, and making it more relating to African discussion.

The banner and homepage, absolutely phenomenal.
What was disliked most about the website/forums:
The non-activity of your staff, and the confusing board structure. You need to make it more clear you're all about Africa, the board just doesn't do that for me. Make it more clear, like an entire category called " General African Discussion " then you can have boards for African Countries, African Politics, Movies shot in Africa, etc.

More content. Your staff is inactive, and you need to get them posting more. Do more exchanges, and add more content.
