Wanted to help these guys out and spread the word about this a bit because what they're doing is really amazing. Gamers from all over the world have come together for this Gaming Marathon; Awesome Games Done Quick where they speedrun various games while accepting donations for charity. This year they're raising money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
The marathon started yesterday and will last until the 11th (probably with some bonus streams after as well). I believe this is their 3rd year doing it. Last year they raised almost $450,000, and this year their goal is $500,000. In a little over 24 hours they've raised $87,201. When you donate you are also automatically eligible to win a few prizes (plushies, shirts, perlers, other collectibles, etc) and of course it's going to a great cause as well and there are other donation incentives.
Games vary between Mario, Zelda, Mega Man, Borderlands, Chrono Trigger, GTA, Pokemon, Spyro, Bioshock, and LOTS more! They're playing 115 games with a total run time of (currently) 157:31:00.

Even if you can't donate, the viewer count helps too as Twitch will donate $2,500 for having 50,000 viewers (which they've already achieved) and $5,000 if they reach 100,000 viewers. Also, spread the word! 😀 The more people know the better.
