The way i think about it;

If you're old enough to support a family, and you make the right decision's then you're old enough to poke around. If you can't support a family, i suggest being careful when you have sexual intercourse. I mean, in reality a 14 year old kid shouldn't be having sex, even though i lost my virginity at 16 i still think most kids should not have sex until they are 18+.

Personally, I think someone would have sex only if they're really mature enough on the subject.

I mean, they need to talk with their partner about the risks, pregnancy, AIDS, etc. We really don't need a bunch of 14-year-old father's running around all over the place.

If one is wise then they would wait until they are at least 16 or 17, but you should overall just wait until you're ready.

I think that they should wait until they're 16---17 and that's for protected sex, having a child I think that you should be happily married and be able to support a child. 🙂

I'd like to think an ideal range would be <18. But we all know around 16/17 we get those thoughts and pretty much are more or less rabbits. So, as long as you're careful and aware of ALL consequences...sure give it a try why out. It's exciting at that age, it's no where near good hahaha.

From memory, so long as it is legal there isn't an issue.

Here, in AU, it's 16 as a minimum age.
