I'm not sure if it would be profitable based on forum activity alone, but you could set something up that hooks into current trending topics, tags, etc across reddit, news sites, and social media. You can then figure out if there are any upcoming events, viral products, or anything else that can be monetized. An example would be having a script identify that a new game is released, and then doing a giveaway for a free copy of the game for people who post 10+ times.
Also i'm really just trying to stick to your question about an event specifically. Another way to tie in AI is to hook into trends in the same way and then producing content within the first hour or two to push out. This can also be done in the form of a thread. It's tough for people to find these micro trends and viral-in-progress topics, but bots make that a lot easier. There are delays between when certain things start popping up on local news sites versus the national or international website versions, and a lot of internet trends can be traced back to reddit, youtube, etc. Bots make it easier to detect these emerging trends and use LLMs to write new content, create giveaways, etc.
