The more I use AI in my daily blog entries, the more I am getting used to seeing what AI looks like in graphics, ads and videos. And I'm seeing it everywhere. Almost all the small businesses in my area are using AI for their social media posts, announcements, promotions, etc... At first it was neat knowing that they're taking advantage of technology, but now, it's just annoying. It's no longer creative or new. They're all looking alike.
Very much so, AI is killing the creative industries. People (including me) who write and produce incidental music for films, TV and video games etc have already been made redundant by AI.
AI is being embraced by the major labels because it has allowed them to increase profits by flooding the market with mass produced AI 'slop'.
It's worth noting that AI hoovers up existing music created by talented artists with no regard for copyright infringement. Genuine musicians are being robbed blind and then replaced by the machine. In addition AI when just used as a tool rather than for content creation allows people with dubious talent to become celebrated music creators.
In short, AI is proving to be an abomination within the creative arts.
