Is AI for forums advanced enough yet to learn about forum activity in a way to give a brief overview? Or to give suggestions for improvements?

Yes, 100%. It can break down activity by thread titles alone, especially when you have enough per day, and it is pretty good at being able to summarize new posts across many threads and finding interesting discussions. I think the best way is to have custom scripts with some prompting specialized to a forum's niche or even unique rules for LLMs on each specific section/subforum for best results.
