Airbnb Vrbo etc?

We haven't done too many real vacations because we used time off to go visit family and when we do go away, we stay at a hotel. But I'm kind of wanting to at least once stay in one of the other options. What's the deal with them? Do most on the beach require a 7 day stay?

As far as Airbnb is concerned, the owner sets the minimum stay period which can be anything from 1 night upwards. I'd say you are far more likely to get shorter stays during the off-season.
