I was planning on getting a domain once the community grew a bit, but maybe Ill just go ahead and get one because it may draw more people in.

It would help much more than hurt you.

To be honest the theme is very old, but the forum itself is okay, the speed is okay, but recommend on a newer looking theme, good luck !
