All 6 Pokemon Have Pokerus'

Ok, in Pokemon X, I recieved a Pokemon via the Wonder Trade that was infected with a Pokerus, and now all 6 Pokemon have contracted it. What on Earth is a Pokerus and will it effect game play for me? If so, how?

Yes, well sorta. It's in a good way, though. 😛

A Pokemon with Pokerus will gain double the amount of E.V's (Effort values) from battling. It's actually a good thing, as it benefits both your pokemon and you as the player. :great:

It usually only lasts about 2 days though, unless they're stored in the PC. 😛

Thanks this helps a lot. I was nervous for a while because the way the nurse at the Pokemon center went on about it, you'd swear it was the flu or something.

It makes your Pokemon receive twice as many EVs in battle, which makes raising them much easier / quicker. After every battle there's a random chance that it will spread to the rest of your party, but it only lasts two days so it's a good idea to leave a couple of infected mons in the PC where the infection doesn't disappear, so you can spread it to your party later on.
