Every September my daughter has had the same thing...is it allergies or a cold? It starts off with a sore throat and turns into a stuffy nose. This happens EVERY September which leads me to believe it's allergies, but most people insist allergies don't happen with a sore throat (and I say they're wrong).

Do you have this happen at the same time every year where you don't feel well?

If it's like clockwork, I'd say Allergies. People can have different symptoms. For me, anytime I get a cold, I get a fever even though fevers aren't associated with colds. It's just the way my body reacts to it.
People can get sore throats quite easily as a symptom.

Have you thought about taking her to a clinic and letting her doctor see what the problem is?

I have allergies in the fall and spring time, it never leads to a sore throat though, but everyone's body is different. I would say it's definitely allergies unless this cold is playing games and just attacks every September

Allergic rhinitis, also called hay fever, is an allergic reaction that causes sneezing, congestion, itchy nose and sore throat. I'm not a doctor but this would be my bet.
