For some niches - like promotion and/or web development it could be fine, in fact, very enjoyable. However, though, for my drumming stuff - I'd rather not have it in the forum, because ads ruin this niche more than in a business type forum. Anyway, a lot of people could join up and post - only cause they're getting attention to their ad - which is fine for business and/or web development, but not good for "artsy" type niches.

What's your idea? If you do allow signatures - how far do you go? I mean, I might not mind non-commercial/promotional images for the drumming stuff in the future.

Christianity Haven will allow signatures if we're allowed to have our site either posted somewhere on their site or as a signature if I'm a member. There cannot be a signature for selling something like a product or service.

Used to setup for VIP groups but then I changed it to have everyone allow it.

I personally don't see anything wrong with signatures so long as they don't break any laws. If they want to promote themselves that way, it seems logical to let them since running sites and whatnot can be an art of its own.
