I set the max file size for my board to 0 , which means unlimited . But while uploading files more than 2 mb it gives an error saying that the max file size is 2MB and its written in php.ini and it cannot be overloaded . Please tell me how I can increase the maximum file size to more than 2MB .

You might have to speak with your host. On shared hosting you can't normally overwrite the values in php.ini (to my knowledge).

Oh , in that case I dont think I'll be able to change that value .

It depends on your host. Some are nice but some are very strict and will say no. It would be best to host externally anyway (it will save bandwidth and your resources).

Ya , it would be better but I have a huge 8GB of disk-space for my forum ; it would remain un-utilized if I used an external host .

Anyway , I will try contacting my host and ask them .

I was thinking more about Bandwidth and CPU/Memory. Disk space is the least of out worries here for example.

Okay , I talked with my host and they said a big NO .

Too bad , I hate them !
