Snappy 'gator claims a swallow victory

WHEN it comes to fast food in the animal world, it can't come much quicker, or easier, than it did for this alligator.

While it was certainly fortunate timing for the crafty predator, it was the last, and most unlucky, moment for the garfish which unwittingly jumped straight into the reptile's jaws in Florida's Myakka River.

Wildlife photographer Marina Scarr said: "I went down right to the river edge waiting for the action. I was there for three days waiting for something to happen."

Then it did.

That was a pretty lucky shot for the photographer. Im sure cool stuff like that happens all the time and nobody see's it..
