Amazon Affiliates

Have any of you signed up for Amazon's Affiliates Program? If you havent, it is a program by Amazon, that allows you to earn a percentage of each item that someone buys from amazon, though a special link, widget, or ad you have on your forum or website.

I have, and I am in the process of putting related items that people can purchase through Amazon, onto The Moral Liberal. Currently it is mostly books by specific people who submit articles to us, and other books relating to some of the history items on the site, though I will be adding items relating to other sections on the site soon, like news related items, education related items, and other stuff.

I so far earned about 90 dollars or so with Amazon Affiliates by referring people to buy books, items, and tools related to computers and electronics.

My conversion rates are about 1-3% on most months.

i actually set up a store for 8 months now but i only got 2 sales. which of their promotion works for you?

Product text links with descriptive anchor text like "Canon Laser printer" which links to a canon laser printer on Amazon.com website.

Those Image, and text widgets with the buy now button on it which also list the most up to date price also work.

But, I mostly blog about how great a product is and embed links throughout my blog post in hopes someone will be interested on clicking on them, and buying products from Amazon.
