Amazon sucks!

Is there anyway to know the seller reviews are real since a seller can probably spend a few hundred dollars hiring a bunch of reviewers to give his store a good review in exchange for $2-5 dollars for each review?

$2-5 is not a lot of money, but there are people online who are willing to give good reviews for a few dollars.

The seller would benefit by having more sales of expensive items like big screen TVs, gaming laptops, Gold jewellery, etc where he can easily make back the money he spent on fake reviews by selling a few expensive products.

Yeah, people could definitely pay for reviews. I actually know of people who pay for feedback. It's hard to know who to trust, even people with 100% positive feedback can be shady. You never know...

Buying used stuff always can be problematic. Not Just Amazon but anywhere. Hope you have left negative feedback for him in at least couple of items the person selling.

It is usually better to buy refurbished items since they are tested by an employee, and sometimes re-built to make sure everything works before it leaves the refurbisher's repair center.

I bought a few refurbished computers and electronics, and they work great like new.

But, buying used items could mean you are buying a product where the broken part was not repaired, or replaced before you bought it.
