An idea to stop spambots posting

They go for boards with the word "Discussion"

But the forum my spam is going into is called "General Chit-Chat"...

They targeted my board "General Discussion" and then "General In-Character" , it appears that "General" is the keyword.

They target the top movies and the share your fave youtube videos often, as well as your favourite tv shows. Most of them go to paste watch online episodes or movies either in their post comments or in fake signatures. I think sometimes they are not bots, simply people paid to register and paste that as much as they can. XD

Changing the name of the forum will not achieve anything because they will still sign up and post spam in various areas.

I've neer had spam in any other forum, weird.

Spam Bots may go for certain keywords over others but they will still spam somewhere. I have in the past ran a spam honeypot and most spam did go into one forum in particular although all areas did get spammed and renaming forums and adding/removing forums didn't really affect the level of spam on the forum.

Check if there's a script/plugin for the forum software that you're using that blocks users from posting links unless they have a specific amount of posts, 10 is a good number.

Spambots commonly post links, if the script/plugin blocks their post because it contains links, they get stopped before the post goes up.

Of course I think this should be used on top of the Captcha & StopForumSpam.
