So I just got the update to Android 7 yesterday and immediately had some performance issues. I googled around and found that wiping the cache partition can help with performance issues after a major update. So far it seems to have kept the lag away but time will tell.
However, I have noticed that my battery life is currently garbage compared to what it was while I was on 6.0.1
Unfortunately it's the same for all Android 7 devices. It's how it was made an design and with that there are apps and even the OS is bigger and users more power then before. Been reviews saying about the poor battery percentage.
All you can do is shut off the apps that you aren't using and chnage your screen brightness
What are some of the new features of 7? I'm still on Android KitKat unfortunately as LG (I have the G Flex) stopped updates about a year and a half ago now.
Are some of these even really new features? I mean I've had multi-window for years. (It's been around since what... 4.0 or 4.3? So to say it's a new feature is a bit of a stretch...)
The emergency info on lockscreen is a good idea though. (This way if you get hurt and can't talk, they can press a button and view emergency contacts, allergies, blood type and etc... right from the lock screen.) But even then this is only one small change.
Which is what this update seems to be... it just looks like a bunch of minor additions/changes.
