Apple doesn't have "1 phone". They have the iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S.Ilya said:Nuke said:Android is already selling double what Apple sells globally.

Thats irelevant.
Apple has 1 phone, android has 100's of phones.
Apple only available to 3 networks, android available to over 34 networks...
If you compare iphone to any 1 android phone it outbeat everyone of them.

It's like the Samsung Galaxy S and Samsung Galaxy S2. If you compare the first 2 generations of the iPhone with the Samsung Galaxy, then Samsung has sold more units than the iPhone.
Hypothetically, we could also say if and when the Samsung Galaxy reaches the 5th generation, it could potentially sell as much or more than the iPhone. That being said, you can't compare the current iPhone with any phone which hasn't reached the 5th generation stage (ie. they have a strong background which they've built from it; comparing a newly released phone to the iPhone 4S is ludicrous and not a fair comparison).
Lol, no. You completely missed the point. This is why phone comparisons isn't truly fair - iPhone has a strong userbase and a history. Phones like the Samsung Galaxy S series (not talking about other Samsung phones) only have 2 years of history. Thus when we compare one series to another, the age of the history must be considered to determine which phone is more successful.Krymzn said:The iPhone 4S claims to be the most sophisticated smart phone! Again, completely missed the point. You should read the thread again, and see what I replied to. I replied to a post stating there was only one phone on Apply iOS, however, there are 5. Thus I said that comparison of sales must be done by the phone's generation in order to have relevance. You've now gone off on a tangent and commented about a phone's sophistication, which was not the point I was making.Krymzn said:DavidL said:Lol, no. You completely missed the point. But when a phone claims to be the most sophisticated smart phone its leaving itself open to comparisons!!
If it had said "the most sophisticated smart phone yet" that's a different story I believe.
Not sure if serious, but I can see Google being more valued than Apple.madma said:This answers the main question. Who is the most valued company in the world.
