Android Phone forum? (And Forum ideas)

Do you think a forum dedicated to the Android operating system would be good? I've looked around at some, and they seem popular, but I don't like any of them, and I was thinking of starting one up. What do you guys think about it?

That's the problem. 😛 I feel that the current ones don't have a good structure, so I would improve on that, but that doesn't make us stand out. I'd try and get a custom theme...Any ideas will be appreciated!

There are a lot of really big competitors out there so you would need to have a lot of good content and an amazing overall look since I know of some really good looking Android communities.

I've just had another idea, what about a forum dedicated to the linux operating system, and all it's variants? I like Linux, and I don't think there is a forum that covers all of the different distros.

I would also like to start a vide game forum, but I don't know what I could do to make it stand out.

A pretty large community that covers all of the distros. However, that doesn't mean you can't start a community with a nicer theme and gain a few dedicated members that enjoy posting on your community more than theirs. You don't always have to necessarily beat out the competition, rather than just accepting the fact that you'll have a smaller community than theirs that can still be fairly active.

I saw that, and I might consider that, however...

Maybe you should do a smartphone forum. Android, Windows, IOS, Blackberry and WebOS. That will be a lot better.

A specified smart phone forum would work.
Hopefully one that wouldn't end up in flame-wars all the time 🙂
