Description This is more a resource than anything, however you're welcome to join and add sanctuaries and rescue homes that haven't been listed yet. Any who, this is a forum for mainly the UK (but has section for world) focused on listing animal rehoming centres and sanctuaries. We have a spotlight section highlighting some animals in need of homes as well as a forum dedicated to desperate cases. This forum also allows sanctuaries to post up looking for volunteers in their area.

If you're looking for a new companion, please look into taking on one that already needs a loving home and not encouraging people to constantly breed whilst animals sit in enclosures just waiting and waiting and waiting for a home. It doesn't matter what species, there will always be one or many needing homes due to either neglect from previous owners, abuse from previous owners or their previous owners have passed on.

Or even if you're just looking to help out an animal sanctuary...you can look for one in your local area or donate via the internet to one not so close by. 🙂

Yeah, it's because it incorporates all the counties...I maybe could see if pro boards do a minimize category code if that helps people browse the site better.

Fantastic site, very useful resource. While I agree most forums should limit the number of boards as this is to help people find shelters close to them the way it is set out makes it much easier to go straight to your location. I like the fact that all the counties are shown on the first page rather than having to go through sub-forums.
