I like the dark background setting, and the design is good.
I think if you're a anime website you should do somethingbelse for the forum, and make it bigger, maybe also have a user submited anime dictionary, and have a 'Looking for a Anime' forum.
You could also perhaps have featured animes, and contests daily, e.g win a DVD of your favourite anime, etc, and you really need to advertise your website more.

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the advice and the compliments. I like the idea of contests. Unfortunately I'm broke, so I can't afford to give away prizes.

Perhaps you could invent a gold membership to give away. A gold member could have access to hidden previews of new animes, and some extra stuff.

Contests don't need to cost money. You could have a member of the week or month and give a badge and a mention on the forum as a prize. You could offer advertising space or premium membership as a prize. Think about things you could give for free, but that your members would really value.
