My first impressions of your site were well, slow. Your forum currently has tons of pictures on the homepage, which significantly slows down the loading time of your forum. All of the pictures look fairly nice and pleasent. Unfortunately, though, the loading time of your forum is incredibly slow because of it. I would encourage you to remove the custom pictures beside every board. This makes your navigation and top to bottom scrolling very slow, as well as the loading speed. Replacing them with a smaller picture would help your forum look more pleasing upon a first impression.

Your theme looks very good. The color scheme and logo look very well in tune for an anime forum, while still accomplishing the professionalism that any forum needs.

Going back to the custom pictures. It makes the site look longer, as well as the board descriptions on the index page. These images are huge in size. They really look like they're stretching out the board descriptions on the index page. Example. See what I'm saying? It makes the index look longer and further stretched out than it should. You should really try to find some smaller images that can fit in the category descriptions box better.

Anime is a pretty tough forum genre. There are very few good, medium sized anime boards like yours. Most anime forums severely lack in actual anime discussion. It's pleasing to see that your forum has broken that mold. You have good conversation for a forum of your size.

As good as your activity is, you don't really seem to have any great, original features that someone would come looking for. I really like the "Anime Reviews" section idea. It has a lot of potential for SEO, as well as being useful for your members. You could very easily expand on this section. What about doing a weekly review on an anime series that your members seem to talk about a lot? Even if you already have a anime review for that specific anime, if would still be nice to see two reviews instead of just one.

Final Remarks​

Anime Forums currently has a ton of unused potential right now. If you fix a few small things such as the huge pictures beside the category descriptions, Anime Forums should have no trouble finding members if you stick with the forum. Good luck!​

This is a pretty well put together forum! 😀 I love the style, images, and forum icons! I think you need to devote more of the main index to anime-related forums, rather than just an "Anime" section and a "Manga" section. Anyway, looks good! Keep up the good work!

The forum is very good.I personally think you should change the color of the background. It's quite hard to see and it is very dark. Apart from that, I like your forum! Nice work! 🙂

I really like the design and the icons on the forum. Not a huge fan of the giant banner at the top of the page, though. Just a personal preference. I would rather be able to see the forum when I open the website rather than scroll down. Other than that, it looks great!

This was one of the first things I thought of as well. I do like your theme other than this, however. One of the other things that I like are the community polls, like you have at the top.

Overall, I'd say you're doing well. If you can implement some of the changes that PoH proposed, I think you could really fine tune your forum and take it to the next level. For a forum of your size, you've already done a good job at keeping the community fresh and active, and you are the commended for that. 🙂

I have to agree that the loading speed is quite bad. My internet speed is rather slow compared to some other members here, so it's a bit more painful for me maybe, haha. But then after the page loads, it still needs more time to load the images.

I like the structure; your attempt to bring content for members and visitors is palpable. I will say maybe reduce the size of the scrolling news bar and some image-related widgets to fasten the loading speed, though. I think it will also be better if visitors can read the text of the scrolling news bar without having to scroll the mouse down, so maybe reduce the height of that part?

Other than that I think the activity is quite good. Maybe encourage more anime episode discussions so the threads won't be too lonely without replies there.

Its a nice forum. Very impressive. I like the design and photos of all the anime characters on the forum.

My only complaint is that it just needs more content and active members posting.

I just love the theme that you are currently using on the forum. The colours go well with each other and the overall look is great. The forum icons just look amazing and unique to the forum. The one thing I would maybe change about the look is the size of the images near the header. They currently take up a bit too much space for my likening. The sidebar is populated with useful information but is not overloaded which is great. Maybe you should think about making the shoutbox private to registered members only as the guests can see the chat. Great forum, good luck with it 🙂

I would personally get like a dark-washed out background of an anime scene or character, just to tie the theme together, and maybe the "NEW" icons could be red? The blue and white text is just a bit hard to really see. since everything is blue. lol.

Other than that I think it looks great! 🙂
