The news of this earthquake is just coming out, but just two weeks after a major earthquake in Mexico and on the exact day as the 32nd anniversary of the big 1985 earthquake, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake has struck Mexico today.

For those who haven't heard about the 1985 earthquake, it was a well-known one for the fact that it was a major earthquake in a place with a high population density. Cities around the world (such as Tokyo) realized they faced similar risks.

It's rather odd that another big earthquake would hit Mexico in exactly 32 years. Coincidence or a geological process? It will be interesting to find out.

But keep Mexico in your thoughts. 🙁 It sounds like (from the article linked above) that this earthquake was much worse than the previous one.

2017 is an bad year with so much going on. Lost of life been taken

For the first earthquake my social networks had memes; this time is oddly silent, which for me it's a clear signal that the impact and consequences hit closer. Just talking with a dear friend living close enough (so glad he is safe!) and he mentioned about people he knows that have lost their house completely thanks to this earthquake.

Tepeyóllotl must be mad at us, Two earthquakes and the frigging hurricane. I can only hope this is the last of the chain so Mexico can heal.

This time of the year seems to be pretty bad apparently.

I hope that Mexico City will be able to rebuild from the damage.

heard so for there are over 200 people lost there life

If I remember correctly, it was just 2 weeks ago when Mexico was hit by an 8.1 earthquake. And now it's a 7.1 magnitude. In the US there was Hurricane Harvey followed by Hurricane Irma. What is happening to the world, is this the wrath of nature?

Well, there are times when events will make you think that the world is out against you. But it's important to try to be resilient and overcome hard times (easier said than done). Remember, there are super-volcanoes, electromagnetic pulse (theoretically from the sun), and other worse scenarios too. Times won't always be bad for one region.

Nevertheless, the frequency of more natural disasters suggests climate change is at work. 🙁 If only the world would act.
