Another major earthquake - Your thoughts

...Alright. This has gone on for 3 days and I just need to know what you think.

There has been at least 300 after shocks in the past 3 days. The last one was 'Magnitude 3.7, Monday, September 6 2010 at 11:14 pm (NZST), 10 km south-west of Christchurch.' ...it's said there will be a possible 9.1 but it hasn't come yet. Do you think there will be continuing after shocks or will be major one come?

Living in a country where large earthquakes are extremely rare it's very hard to comprehend what it must be like to have to worry about one coming. With today's technology scientists are very good at predicting what can and will happen, I'm sure everyone over in NZ will be thoroughly updated on the situation as far as possible. I don't have the answer you're looking for but I do hope that it's only aftershocks and nothing more 🙂

Well last night there was 4 just around 11pm-12pm and they were over 5.
