Ive noticed on some forums, feedback threads turn into arguments.
How do you answer feedback?
How do you deal with people feeling strongly for/against the feedback given?

Feedback forums are there for a reason, but there will always be differences in opinion. You've just got to stand your ground and if things get heated, do your best to resolve it without letting it get out of hand.

I take whatever they said (that's reasonable, of course) into consideration.

I usually just say 'thanks for your feedback', unless the member brought up a good point that can be debated of.

If what they say is reasonable, I'll act on it. If it's unreasonable, I'll apologise and explain why it is impossible.

I think the worse way to answer feedback, is when a mod answers the question, then adds this statement.

"This question has been answered, topic locked"

^^ They don't give anyone else a chance to comment, or the original poster to "clarify" their answer was in fact answered.

Dude I hate that!

When someone locks a topic and it didn't really help, I have to post another topic, then they call that spamming...

Some people I just don't understand

I really don't mind feedback. It's the same as requesting a review, you don't argue with the reviewer until you get your own way. Feedback is a way to make your forum/site/blog better.

Most people have feedback forums so people can express what they want/need so staff can show how you can live without it.

It's why I rarely bother with feedback forums on any board for the most part.

I seen people who rather argue for endless pages then just admit that just maybe someone has a good idea that can make things better or show that the admins/staff do in fact do not know everything about everything. 😛

Ive seen this before too.
Some admins don't want to do anything to the forum unless they are the ones who actually thought of it..

Feedback is great from your members, heck, I sometimes reply to my own feedback topic, its pretty weird though...

At times you can't make everyone happy and you have to leave some inputs out.
