Anti Facebook Group

I think the best way to stay private online is just not post stuff you do not want to become public since you never know who will expose a photo of yourself doing something embarrassing like "Drunk and wasted lying on the side of the sidewalk."

A lot of people use Facebook for finding useful info, so I doubt this would make much of an impact.

People are stupid enough to actually meet people online, if you don't do that, you are fine.

So they are saying FaceBook is bad for privacy... yet they post their info on the net elsewhere and appear on msnbc? I love irony.

Most of my Facebook friends are people I know in real life. Actually, all of my facebook friends are people I know in real life. There's no way I would add anybody on a forum.

How is that gay in any shape fashion or form? Do you even know what gay means 😵?

Meeting people in real life is not that bad. I meet two of my forum members I known for years in real life. They turned out to be pretty nice.

My Cousin found her husband from a Dating website, and they're happily married.

I don't do stuff like that. So I know I am okay as far as that goes.

Evidentally not. I'm sure the LGBTQIA community may feel offended from the OP.

haha 😛

anyway, I only friend people I know in real life on facebook anyways.

I don't think any personal information should go on the internet, personally.

I also think most of those websites could be deleted. Both Twitter and Myspace could probably be replaced by facebook.

I personally don't depend on Facebook for protecting my privacy since if some disgruntled or crazy facebook employee decided to go nuts and expose all of the private photos on Facebook and set them to public. I can't get them back since people can save them and post them on other sites like blogger, myspace, tinypic, and Google Buzz.

The best way to be safe online is to use good judgement like not posting home address, phone number, or yourself standing near a location close to your home to avoid sex offenders or online bullies coming to harm you in real life.

I know, I use words poorly.

Pointless post and really old topic, wow.

I guess since it is already at the top, I agree with what THT said in the first post, you don't have to use facebook, if you don't feel confortable with the security of it then don't use it. It's pretty simple.
