AntiVirus Program Updates

1. Do you let your antivirus programs update or do you choose whether to install an update or not?

2. Is it best to have them update automatically?

3. When you uninstall an antivirus program, does its updates it downloaded unininstall along with the program?

I use MSE, so it updates automatically. Its best to let them update automatically to get latest definitions.

I use AVG and I let it notify me first of when it needs updated. When you uninstall it, the updates should uninstall too.

I just let the antivirus, antispyware, and antimalware update automatically, so I'm less likely to be infected by a new virus since I'm up to date on my updates.

I haven't gotten a virus in many years.

You should always let it update automatically. So you can have the latest definitions and defense against the latest threats.

Also yes when you delete your anti virus it will delete the definitions.

I let it update; if It tells me to restart however... that's probably not going to happen. (My computer has this thing, that sometimes if shut off or restarted... I'll get stuck at the start screen. So I don't even bother and put it in hibernate all of the time to prevent it from getting stuck again)
