I watched it late last night when England retained the Ashes 😎

I don't love it, but I can play cricket. I watch cricket, but I can't watch ball by ball for 6 or so hours (unless there really isn't anything else to do). Twenty20 is great to watch though 🙂

So, I don't mind it.

 I saw your name David and expected some comment on the Ashes.....

I read your comment and thought if I should 😛. But now you asked... England did push their luck a bit with going to 513 runs, and may have wasted their time.

If (yes, a big 'if'), Australia just slowly batted out the whole innings, Australia could have lead it to a draw, meaning the SCG match (5th test) would be important and the 98 run shocker would be forgotten 🙂 But that didn't happen 🙁 It seemed like Australia wanted to get to a lead of 150-200, on top of the 400 run deficit which is stupid if you ask me

I didn't understand the motives either?
Apparently it's the first time in 24 years that we've retained the Ashes?
I'm wondering if the 5th test will be worth watching or not now?
I notice that the ground was really empty yesterday?

The last time England won the Ashes on Australian soil was 24 years ago, so that's a pretty mighty effort. The 5th test probably won't achieve much of a crowd, so probably not.

Ricky Ponting's little outburst at the ref did him no favours either, 40% of his match earnings? And your man fracturing an ankle too?

I don't think it was an outburst, or at the very least, the passionate ones we usually see. Even Aleem Dar has said they were just in a prolonged discussion and clarification of how the 3rd Umpire had judged it. But, I don't think it should of happened. I'm just curious as to what the hotspot was referring to with the white spot at the toe of the bat.

Ryan Harris was just unfortunate. But the SCG is a pitch that requires a spinner, so at least the selectors won't be axing a bowler at the very least.

I agree with you on that.

BTW, anyone watching India vs SA? Thats also a great series!

I really don't care about the sport, Cricket. I am an American, that's not very popular around here.
