Any ideas for a general forum?

Do anyone of you happen to have any unique ideas for a forum of the general topic? Such as different types of sections, features, contests, or design edits? 🙂

General forums have been done to death. I doubt you'll get any "unique" ideas, basically the best you can hope for is to rehash an existing forum and improve upon whats already out there.

I agree to this. General forums are less active these days. Rather you can go for niche forums where you can get a group of people with similar likes and discussions.

Like I mention on the other topic that you need to have more boards for members to post in. And think more about the titles.. add some very good unique names, even the tabs.

Maybe look at other General forums and see what they have or don't have and go from there like adding something that other General forums doesn't have. Maybe galley or downloads or an shop...

I strongly recommend you to focus on specific topic first, then overtime, as your site grows, you can open to other broader fields
