Help, I need suggestions!​

Hello everyone, how are you all today? I'm just starting my forum, and I'm very new to all of the forum stuff. Do you guys have and suggestions for a start up forum? My website is a general discussion/support area for LGBTQ+ people and supporters. Do you have any suggestions on what to advertise, what kinds of styles suggestions?

Make sure you provide both light and dark themes.

Advertising:

Make an RSS > Twitter thing that publishes the latest posts to a twitter account, so people can follow it and quickly get the last posts.

My suggestion is a clear title for your forum and maybe you can enhance it with pictures. Also, a note that your forum is open to everyone to give an impression of neutrality. I don't know if there is an appropriate color for the theme but it is a plus, if there is any.

There is something you need to know about forums, creating a forum is easy, the main problem is can you sustain the forum, can you bring people to it and retain them?. And there are more than thousands of forums scattered over cyber space, what your forum will be bringing to the table, will it be the same with what every other forum offers. Or is it different, this are questions to ask yourself before starting a forum. Good luck.
