Anybody know about Mix?

Months ago, StumbleUpon had now been superceded by Mix, which seems slightly different and already I don't know what to do with it. At least for StumbleUpon, all you had to do was paste a link to your site/forum and then watch the magic happen on the Online Users list, which I had enjoyed seeing for a while.

If anybody here knows about Mix or even used it extensively, do let me know, and also tell me if it had worked for you in regards to promotion.

Yeah, I figured it wasn't all that well-known, even though it's been around for almost half a year.

Well, thanks to you, I've secured a Mix username. CarlosX360 is my name there.

I've been a long time user of Stumble Upon, so I fixed everything now.

How are things with you there so far, @Carlos X? For myself, I've not really bothered about promoting my forum or any of its threads there. I feel it's not as effective as StumbleUpon :emoji-confused: I mean, when I had my old forum plugged in, I saw at least forty new people come on but with this, just two.

Yes Stumble Upon has been converted to Mix now. It is not all renowned as Stumble Upon.

So far, I don't like the interface. It's clunky. You have to categorize your articles into sections, but when you do, you either have to create one yourself, or put your article into a pre-existing, more general, more generic group. And those groups usually tells you theres a lot of followers in there, but I still think the idea is clunky. I like the old StumbleUpon, it only needed a modern redesign, rather than what it became. Nice name, but poor execution.

I did some research on the company that makes it. Its founded by the same people that did the old Twitter, and a few lesser known projects like AddThis.

I'll wait a few weeks and come back with some analytics, but so far, I don't see anything. No conversion, etc.

I have to agree, I am not entirely pleased with how they have this site setup...even for just browsing on...none the less I have added my site so we'll see what happens.

I was on stumbleupon. However, my account was dormant. Since I was not getting traffic from my stumbleupon posts, I stopped sharing on stulbleupon. Then evcentually I forget. A couple of weeks ago heard about Mix. I was interested to know how the new site is different from the old one. I tried to access mix with my old stumbleupon account. However, I could not retrive my account. Then I create a new account. The site does not look different.

As an update, I no longer use Mix. It was pretty pointless to use over time, and didn't benefit me at all :emoji-confused: But I'm sure there's better and more effective ways to promote your site, am I right?

I agree. Eh.

I completely agree with you all. Stumbleupon was much better and useful. Speaking of Mix, it is not that much effective for promotional purpose.
