So I just discovered voat yesterday, it's pretty similar to reddit though tons of mods who had their subreddits either banned or quarantined ended up moving from reddit to voat. It's still in it's alpha stages, and you can only register at certain times during the day. It seems that the developers are actually working on it continuously, more than the staff over at reddit seem to be. And as far as I'm aware, only two people are behind voat. I went ahead and made a subverse, called "Serious Conversations." Anywho I go by ravenfreak on voat (and on reddit too) so if you browse the site, and you see my username feel free to add me as a friend.
I had a look at it when the whole subreddit blackout thing happened a while back, it was fun to browse and check out all the crap that was happening during the blackout, but it just isn't for me.
I love all the drama that happens on Reddit, as well as its weird but entertaining userbase.. Voat doesn't have that.
