For the past few weeks, I have been combating the "Stink Bug". They find ways into the home and then nag the heck out of you by flying randomly, crawling on the ceilings, walls, etc. Sure they are easy to catch and flush down the toilet, but don't you dare squish one!

Let me tell you a funny story about one...
Last year I was gaming on the computer in my room...it was late and it was dark with no lights on. I was playing away on some shooter game I suppose and I was surely thirsty! I usually keep a cup near me when gaming...which mind you was..ahem..uncovered.

I took a nice big ole sip and of course; I just happen to be an avid ice chewer! What a perfect combination, right? I started to chew on the...chewy ice should I say and then immediately I regretted it. I spit out a stink bug that was still moving! I ran to the kitchen and started gagging and washing my mouth out. Amazing how I was no longer thirsty the rest of the night while gaming.

Oh know @ChrisGrigg that is awful...I've never had this kind of run-in with these gross creatures. They mostly end up dead in the back window of my car. I don't think I've really seen any yet this year. I saw one a few weeks back at my in-law's house but that's it.

We have stink bugs where I live and they like to hide in our gas grill. They don't want to move even when I light the grill. Stupid bugs.

I caulked around all the windows nicely when we moved in so we don't get too many coming inside. They're loud when they fly around a dark room though.

Before I installed my window trim, I used a product called "Great Stuff" to go around the windows. It's a spray foam that expands, ensuring a tight seal around the windows. They are just flying in the door when I walk in and out now. :|

I've used Great Stuff before around pipes that go outside as well as around the exterior faucets where the cover plate has cracked. It lasts for years!

It's some....Great Stuff. :|
It's also extremely easy to trim up after it cures too. Simple serrated knife, and wahla!

Too bad the can can't be sealed for future use when you only need one squirt. That's the downside of that stuff. I've tried in the past but it never worked no matter what I did to salvage the rest of the can.

I found out the hard way too, when I only needed enough for a few windows. Boom, rest of can ruined in a few hours.

I haven't seen any in our house since the beginning of the year. Good thing too, I was getting tired of them randomly showing up.

Weird, I can't recall ever seeing a stink bug here. A map of their range shows that they must be around, though.

I'm glad I haven't found any in my house! 😳 I generally only see spiders, which is fine since they eat less desirable bugs.

I’ll pack some in a box and send them to you, free of charge.

Ugh, that's disgusting. x_x My sister had a similar encounter with a spider once...

But that aside, we did have some issues with them for a while. Horrid to get rid of. And bedbugs. Been fighting with those as well. They all like to hide in the couch. >_> My mom thought bout getting a new one, but isn't convinced they wouldn't just move to the new one.
