Anyone else still use VB?

I wanted to really use it back in the day, but I decided to go with IPB since I was using an old version at the time. Kind of surprised VB is still around.

Myself i will stay with IPS/IPB because i moved to vbulletin in its days when it was great to use, over time vbulletin lost a lot of reputation. i am still suprised also myself that vbulletin is still used unsure if its still in regular active development as invision is with there software.

I always think of firing up a VB site for a project site and I honestly don't find VB 5 that terrible. But IPS just crushes it in abilities and I worry that the days of VB are numbered and support is never great from businesses that no longer exist.

I have like 20 licenses of VB in my account that I havent used in years. Not sure I would as I migrated most of my sites to XF years ago when VB was bought out.

I haven't used vBulletin since Xenforo was released. I remember Xenforo was released and I think it was vBulletin 4 was also released around the same time I never liked the changes that were made to vBulletin 4 so I stuck with Xenforo as that gave me vBulletin 3 vibes and was something I was so used to. Roll over to over 10 years since Xenforo was released and I still to this day use Xenforo because I prefer it to others like vBulletin.

I have a few of them that ill never use again I'm sure.

A lot of people says that vBulettin security is lack of security since they discontinue updating their versions so it is better to stay away as outdated code could be a security risk for your forum.

Yep, I never upgraded my licenses from vB3, they're just sitting there gathering dust. Gone are the days of vB, a once great platform ruined corporate oversight

vBulletin isn't bad by any stretch. One of the best forums I've ever seen (aesthetically) used it because it has certain custom codes in place that would be a hassle to try and carry over.
