I did English studies for 7 years, plus I post in english on forums, I am very good at English

I only know basic German... I can't remember most of it though.

Berliner is Doughnut i remember that -lol-

Im taking spanish at school, or rather im failing spanish at school. I had a speech problem when I was little and that conflicts with my learning any language that uses the english letter set. Im up for Chinese though -D-

I find it funny how the rest of Europe are usually better at speaking our own language. Also you seem to study more languages than us as we are lazy as Fowler has just shown. -lol-

Lol... I need help on my German coursework at school 🙂, and need a fluent german speaker.

No offence to germans but this is one of the most useless languages to learn. Only one small country speaks german. Its better to learn a more globally spoken language like English or Spanish.

You can walk into a shop or anywhere in Germany and they will most likely be able to talk in English. German langauge is becoming the second language here.

yeah, but the language is not very widely used.

I don't think it matters if it is widely used or not it is always nice to know another language, regardless of what it is.

I used to be able to speak Spanish quite well and I knew a bit of Turkish but not anymore. ~cry~

I may start to learn again though.

Russian is easy to learn, works are mostly pronouced how they are spelt.

Ive always wanted to learn another language but i dno ive just never really tryed i learnt abit of french and welsh in school.

Being able to speak another language is a great quality to have...

If I was to start learning another language it would most probably be Spanish or another European country.

I think in German, talk in English. lol

In Germany you feel under pressure to learn English because you need it to get a decent job. ~smile~ I want to visit the UK some time.

I thought Welsh would have been your first language?

And i had the choice between French and RE and as they said i would most likely fail French i took RE instead. Got C for it.

Well its best to choose wisely when learning a new language. I think I would rather learn a language that will allow me to travel to several countries and be able to communicate with the people of that country. Learning german or any other language that is only spoken in only one small country wont benefit someone as much as knowing a language used around the globe.

I agree now as its harder to learn new languages when your older, but i would have loved it as a kid if my parents taught me or got me some tuition in several languages as you would pick them up easier.
