I use Twitter as a newsfeed to find links to full articles, read people's comments on current events, and read celebrity tweets.
I sometimes use Twitter to promote my forum, and websites when I have something worth tweeting about related to my sites.
I don't really use Twitter to post personal Tweet, and post pictures and videos, or to follow friends and family.
I think Twitter is a great place to meet new people, and strangers which is tougher to do on Facebook, and Google Plus unless you already have friends you know on the site.
I still use Twitter as does a huge portion of the RuneScape community. Twitter is very much alive imo and can see it being around for sometime to come.
I surely use my Twitter for my blogs. I tweet every blog post every now and then. Maybe the dedication requires more, but I do receive a small percent of traffic from Twitter.
Of course Twitter is alive. With its recent design change, activity must've going around for a while still even though it could be declining. I don't know.
As for myself it has been a while since I use my Twitter. I only use it for personal purpose. I don't feel like having anything worth tweeting, or I'm just bored and tired, haha.
I can see how it's still useful for some websites so I don't see the trend dying anytime soon, though.
Twitter is well alive and kicking. I use it to create links of blog posts and also to follow businesses and businessmen. It is nice to get a lot of links to news articles at one place without any intrusive ads or foolish status updates. And Twitter is growing everyday.
Twitter is more of a mini blog (mini version of Tumblr) than a social interaction type thing. Facebook is for people you know in real life and Twitter is for talking to yourself and strangers pretty much.
Twitter is massive for each separate niche. There's technology, fashion, lifestyle etc. niches where Twitter is extensively used. Just talking to your friends on Twitter is different to it being a micro-blogging and advertising platform. You have to join (as in be a part of) a community otherwise it will simply be a text messaging service.
I have a Twitter, but rarely use it. Sometimes I use it to see what's going on with particular Youtubers I watch. Though, I am intending to re-make and re-open a very old forum of mine, so I may hop into the social media field and make a Twitter for it.
I have and occasionally use Twitter. My biggest problem with it is the abundance of "Fake" profiles going around posting links to other sites so that they can get Revenue off of the Link traffic. Other than it's really just talking to yourself and others in a manner that makes you look sane.
I got a Twitter account that I never really used, but possibly planned to use. I recently started posting up random YouTube videos I have done. It is sort of means to extra hit counts if anyone stumbles across my videos.
Twitter to me is an absolute mess. How it works, layout, et cetera just do not flow. I feel like I am on a one step up RSS feed page. Replying is a huge problem to me as the tweets tend to get abstracted from the main tweet. Which quiet annoys me as you can't seem to lead yourself back to the main tweet in some cases. Freaking retweeting crap too.
Uggh, maybe I am just doing it wrong. As I really am not a social media person other than say YouTube or a forum. I have never created or currently own a Myspace, FaceBook, instagram, et cetera social media account.
I honestly only use Twitter to promote my forum, other than that I stay away from it. I don't like the fact that it has a character limit for tweets, can be a big pain in the butt sometimes. I also have another account that I made for a contest SEGA was promoting back in 2010 but I forgot about the contest and the account. It's just sitting there now.
I had to use Twitter this past month to find out when game mods were going to be in game for a big event. I haven't gone back since but it seemed like a super fun place to be for that time.
